Timmy had just turned three. Jessica thought it was over once his birthday came and went, but it dragged on and on. People were still coming by with gifts, days after. It wasn’t fair. Stuff like this was happening all the time! A lot had been bothering her lately. For instance, over the past year Timmy had started watching TV. His shows were HORRIBLE. Sure, she had watched some of them once, shows like “Barney” had been among her favorites when she was little, but now they were unbearable. She would be in the midst of watching one of her favorite shows, and Timmy would come along, asking to watch a “Timmy show” and if she refused, he would hound and hound until her parents made her change it. |

Clay liked the cat. It had come right up to him when we saw it, rubbed against him, purred. It was warm and soft. He liked the affection. It surprised him when it started to follow him home. He wanted it to come home. Something like this he would enjoy. But would his father let him have a cat? |
