Distribution

NEW SRS LOGO copy

SRS Cinema offers worldwide distribution since 1992. For 2015-2016 we are looking to expand the visibility of the movies we release while at the same time making SRS more self-contained with our ever expanding fan base.

Starting this year, we are looking to establish ongoing relationships with some of the top genre film festivals and theaters to help facilitate regular showings and exposure for the feature films we acquire and produce. This will be a building process but we hope to have these relationships firmly in place by the end of 2016.

Our rollout for our top acquisitions (Tier 1) will consist of the following, and in this order:

During months 1-6

  • Film Festival exposure
  • Limited Theatrical Release

During months 3-9

  • Exclusive SRS online only limited edition Blu-Ray, DVD and/or VHS releases

During month 6-12

  • National and/or Worldwide DVD release
  • VOD release
  • Foreign rights licensing

We are only selecting a few motion pictures to do this with per year. But we are looking for additional titles to do the following with (our Tier 2 program):

During months 1-6

  • Exclusive SRS online only limited edition Blu-Ray, DVD and/or VHS releases

During month 6-12

  • National and/or Worldwide DVD release
  • VOD release
  • Foreign rights licensing

We also have a Tier 3 program consisting of just the following:

During months 1-6

  • Exclusive SRS online only limited edition Blu-Ray, DVD and/or VHS releases

Over the course of the next year we will be revamping the company image, website and merging all releases under the SRS Cinema banner. We are hoping to start offering advances (against future royalties) on some of movies we acquire in as early as 2017. We will also be looking to expand our theatrical and film festival runs for movies acquired, expanding into more merchandising of the movies, and expanding our VOD presence, among other efforts.

We will also be working to increase our already sizable direct customer fan base throughout the rest of 2015 and into 2016. We do understand that, to many filmmakers, seeing their movies exposed on a nationwide or even worldwide level is important, but the fact is a lot of these outlets (Walmart, Netflix) are not very profitable for the filmmakers in the end. Our plan is two-fold: 1) The biggest profits will come from direct to retail customers, so we will continue to build the fan base in order to maximize the profits for the filmmaker with limited edition releases while expanding exposure for the motion pictures via Film Fests, Theatrical runs and Movie Reviewers; 2) 6-12 months later, we will roll the movie out on a national level in order to gain more exposure for the filmmaker, but end results could range from hefty profits to hefty losses (or anything in between) depending on how well the motion picture is received by these mainstream outlets and audiences. We are hoping to increase the chances of global success for the motion pictures though via our efforts on Step 1.

Depending on the success of our distribution efforts, we will also be seeking to expand our production efforts with the filmmakers we work with. This would include financing the movies as well. We hope to begin exploring this more by 2017.
