Noon: Rise Up and Fall (2012) – Produced in Syracuse, NY!!  Two organized crime groups are about to go to war over who controls the drug trade in the city of Syracuse New York; between the two crews there are two cousins playing both sides of the crews trying to get them to go to war. In 1985, several college students in Geneseo, NY were confronted with the unimaginable as their friend, Chris DiCesare, became the unwilling focus of a series of paranormal events, recorded in the form of journal notes by John Jeff Ungar. 4pm: Midnight Blue – (1997) – Hosted by film critic Doug Brode, who also wrote this movie, Twins Martine/Georgine dupe a love-stricken executive (Martin) into helping them steal $5 million from Georgine’s husband.  Presented by Scare-A-Cuse.

9pm: Lust for a Vampire (1971) – Hosted by film critic Doug Brode, In 1830, forty years to the day since the last manifestation of their dreaded vampirism, the Karnstein heirs use the blood of an innocent to bring forth the evil that is the beautiful Mircalla – or as she was in 1710, Carmilla. The nearby Finishing School offers rich pickings not only in in the blood of nubile young ladies but also with the headmaster who is desperate to become Mircalla’s disciple, and the equally besotted and even more foolish author Richard Lestrange.   • Thumb Snatchers From the Moon Cocoon (2011) - A short tempered Texas Sheriff, uses his cowboy logic to recklessly defeat a race of condescending, cocoon dwelling critters. View the Trailer
  • Animalario (2012) - Dr. Ego’s hideous genetic experiments have disturbed the peace of Animalario, a city at the edge of chaos. Gatto, a skilled detective hasn’t ceased in his quest to stop EGO and restore order. View the Trailer
  • Odokuro (2011) - In this Gothic sci-fi tale with a Twilight Zone twist, the skeleton of a Sumatran rat monkey comes to life in a room full of cursed objects. Animated by MTV and SyFy channel station ID veteran, Voltaire and narrated by Electro-Goth legend, Gary Numan. View the Trailer

 

11am: Documentary Block.  Presented by Syracuse Horror & More Film Festival.

  • Dead Walk the Earth (2012) – In 1968, young filmmaker George A. Romero made a film that began everyone’s fascination with the living dead. More than 40 years later, the zombie phenomenon is in full force. There are many of films, video games and even television shows that follow in Romero’s footsteps. This documentary crew set out to discover why America is all about zombies.
  • Hey Rube! (2011) - With Lari Teras, producer, and Rick Iafrate, director, a side-splitting documentary featuring Canadian sideshow sensation ‘The Monsters of Schlock’ as they travel across the USA to give everyday marks an inside look at the twisted and wonderful world of sideshow. It is a tale of the old, the new, the bizarre and the macabre. View the Trailer

 

Noon: Going Dark: A Chapter from the Zombie Crew Chronicles (2012) - A survival video that takes place during the first 20 days of a zombie apocalypse. The video centers on a small core of friends who all belong to a group of survivalists called The Zombie Crew. The video is a mix of survival techniques, materials needed and demonstrations of usage. This Zombie themed video could very well be the first zombie survival video without a zombie, but has zombies in it. See it for a different and fun take on what to do and what you need to prepare yourself for ZOMBIEGEDDON! Presented by Scare-A-Cuse.

1pm: Sisterhood Of Death (2012) - With Timothy Vernor is (Writer / Producer) and Antony De Gennaro (Director, Writer, Producer), as leader of an ancient order, the Sisterhood of Death, Jessica draws Alice and Rachel into a coven. Together, they lure con men into their lair under the guise of a phony burlesque rehearsal. The girls summon demons and offer each man as a sacrifice in exchange for power. As the power corrupts, the girls come to realize that they are just pawns in a much more sinister, masterfully crafted, diabolical plot. Plans unfolded like clockwork until they met Franky and Mommy. 3pm: Rudyard Kipling’s Mark of the Beast (2012) – With director Tom Seymour, for the first time ever the famous horror story by Rudyard Kipling comes to the big screen. Starring Ellen Muth (Dead Like Me Showtime series) and New York Independent film legend Debbie Rochon. It is the tale of two heroes who lose their way fighting off a silver faceless leper in the woods. The film has strong female roles. This moral tale shows the repercussions for the use of torture and has deep political and religious themes all bundled into a horror film that runs a festival friendly 72 action packed minutes. 4:30pm: Beyond the Grave (2010) – In a devastated post-apocalyptic world where the rules of reality are transformed by magic and madness, a vengeful police officer searches for a possessed serial killer in a battle of the not-so-good versus absolute evil. 6pm: The Black Dahlia Haunting (2012) – WORLD PREMIERE! While investigating the murder of her father by her blind younger brother, a young woman disturbs the vengeful spirit of Elizabeth Short, known in legend as “The Black Dahlia”. Presented by Scare-A-Cuse.

10am: SHOT ON VIDEO THEATER presents Scream Queen (2002) – After famous “scream queen” Malicia Tombs (Quigley) dies in a freak accident on the set of her latest chiller, the shoot is suspended and the film shelved. One year later, the cast and crew are summoned to an isolated mansion to finish the movie. Everyone is a suspect in Malicia’s untimely death, and a masked killer with vengeance on their mind soon begins bumping them off, one by one. Is Malicia back from the dead, or is someone else responsible?  Presented by Syracuse Horror & More Film Festival.

2pm: The Unusual (Calling of) Charlie Christmas (2011) - The Unusual (Calling of) Charlie Christmas is the story of a socially awkward, thirty-two year old high school janitor who is inspired to become a costumed vigilante in his small Oklahoma town. Bullied and overlooked his entire life, Charlie receives his “higher calling” even as his tender friendship with his neighbor, a meek and mysterious woman named Gracie, begins to develop into something more powerful. 4pm: Fear Eats the Seoul (2011) - With Producer Audrey Dimola, when South Korea is ravaged by a massive demon epidemic that nearly wipes out its entire population, four foreigners are forced to stick together to survive the fallout.
